Black Panther Cards!

Honestly, I didn't know these cards were out, I only check Walmart and Target and didn't see them. They were released on May 9th.  The film opened on February 16th.  Once I did find out, I bought a box on eBay.  The downside of movie trading cards is the inserts, only one autograph from a nobody actor and character, or a poorly drawn sketch card.  This is Upper Deck though, they build their cards better.  So the insert is Florence Kasumba, Ayo, who was in Captain America: Civil WarBlack Panther, and Avengers: Infinity War.   Two dual costume cards, one of T'Challa and Everett Ross, ok, then Black Panther and Shuri, this is better than any of the Marvel cards I bought in the past.

Then, there are the regular cards, uninteresting photo selections, and poor border designs, this one had every card as great and I couldn't wait to look at the next cards in a pack, the border is vibrant, plus the sub-set, gold cards look fantastic and would fit in perfectly with the regular purple bordered cards, but there were only a few and duplicates of the purples, not bad.  Plus, a silver etched circular portal with Black Panther mask behind the image.  Then, there are the sub-sets, usually so pointless I hope there are more of the regular cards, not so here.

There is clear acetate cards, they are duplicates of the regular cards so you overlay them and get a 3D effect, I wish there were ten of these cards in a box.  Next, Behind the Lens cards, I got three of them, always fun.  Then, Streets of Wakanda, which looks like character artwork for the film.  Wakanda Forever, character cards with a very nice background design, again I want them all.  1 card of Wakandan Tech showing the shield.  Language of the People, the line in English with the person who spoke it, then rendered in Wakandan in the back.

Downside, I did not get a complete set, 21 cards missing, usually in a box, but this won't stop me from getting another box.  I didn't care what inserts I got and they overflowed with goodness.  There are also Vibranium cards if you don't get an autograph or sketch card.  I was only supposed to get one multi memorabilia card, I'm not complaining.  I would like to buy then boxes, but will probably buy one or two more over time.  Black Panther Cards Forever!
