Last episode, we had the Titans finally coming together as a team. We see a dinner table, Dr. Adamson, puts his cell phone on voice and gets an update from the Nuclear Family. He cracks an egg and it is a bird embryo. At a motel, a mini-van pulls up, that has all of the Titans. Garfield complains that Dick sold his Porsche. Kory does not like the motel, but Dick points out it is strategically their best resting place. He picks up the keys for the four rooms and is recommended by the clerk (Laura Schutt) a pizza restaurant. Inside a room, Rachel and Garfield are eating pizza, while Dick goes over the mission. He suggests they are an alliance and that they have to learn how to work as a team to take on the Nuclear Family. I really like Dick working as a leader. In a massive barn, Dick wants to see each team member use their powers, Kory explains that she can absorb sunlight and then unleash it blasts, right out of the comics! Dick gives Kory a tractor as a target, but hits a barn wall. Next up is Garfield, his white and red jacket by the way is similar to the color scheme of his costume as Changeling. He is worried about ripping his jacket when transforming. Garfield has the team turn around so he can undress and runs behind a hay bale. Dick is startled by the tiger roar. Garfield transforms back, naked in front of the team, Rachel tries to warn him.

Then, it is Rachel’s turn, she is worried about hurting one of them, but uses her demonic powers! A black cloud is formed, Dick tries to have her draw it in, and Kory blasts it! Rachel feels the pain of the blast and collapses. Garfield asks Dick what is his ability and he responds, “I can keep you alive.” This shifts to night in Lynwood, Illinois, at the Agnew Asylum. Dr. Adamson is angry at the results of another doctor. They watch on a monitor a man strapped down and yelling. The doctor explains that hallucinogens are making him see his darkest part of himself. Also, that he will ready in one hour, Dr. Adamson wants him to be part of the Nuclear Family. A taxi brings the new Nuclear Dad to his suburban home. Nuclear Mom has Biff and Sis all ready in their pink outfits. They are at the used car lot with Dick’s Porsche and want to know what vehicle he traded it in for to the salesman. Biff picks up a crowbar. They walk out, Sis has blood on her collar, Nuclear Dad has them ready for “vitamin time.” He hands Nuclear Mom the case. Garfield checks on Rachel, he explains the sensation of transforming, for some reason it seems he is tapping into the Morphogenetic Field of Animal Man. He has Rachel roar, a cute moment, while Kory talks to Dick about his training.

In her room, Rachel watches an episode of Full House, then she’s her demonic self wanting her in the mirror. She has Dick remove the mirror and wants to see his abilities. Garfield is playing his handheld video game. Kory goes to the liquor store and orders some tequila. She goes to Dick’s room to see what he is hiding. They have a drink, a kiss, and then move to the bed. Afterwards, Dick says he is going to patrol the motel, the desk clerk passes Kory and knocks on Dick’s door. He hears a muffled sound and then is socked by Nuclear Dad. Dick takes on Nuclear Dad and Mom using his briefcase with his suit. Kory knocks on Rachel’s door and then is attacked by Biff and Sis. The fight continues with Nuclear Dad ramming Dick out of the window and onto a car. Kory knocks down Biff and Sis, but they are unfazed Terminator-style, she knocks them down the stairs. Then, she walks out of the motel to see Garfield and Rachel. They are surrounded by the Nuclear Family. Kory tries to activate her powers, but it fades with no sunlight. A gas canister is thrown and then a grappling hook sinks into Nuclear Dad’s shoulder and he is thrown back. Rachel and Garfield choke on the gas as Robin leaps into the fight! Robin gives some serious pain to Nuclear Mom and Dad. Biff is tossed around by Garfield in tiger form. Rachel strikes Nuclear Sis with her power.
The Titans assemble and bind the Nuclear Man in chairs. The family explains that they have to deliver Rachel to their employer. Dick stops Kory from torturing the creepy family and says they are brainwashed. He goes to their car, finds Dr. Adamson as a contact on a cellphone, and his address. Rachel goes to talk to Dick about being Robin. Garfield is interested in seeing Batman. Dick takes the station wagon and promises to return. At the building, Dick gets a butterscotch from a lady trimming a bonsai, Dr. Adamson sees Dick waiting for the elevator on a security camera. He activates the control for the Nuclear Family. At the motel room, a red light beeps on the foreheads of the Nuclear Family, then explosions. Kory walks in and is disappointed that Dick would think she killed them. Dr. Adamson greets Dick and says they have just a minute to leave. He threatens Dr. Adamson and then goes into action taking on a security team. Dick is knocked down and then Robin (Curran Walters) comes in to take them on! He introduces himself to Dick as the new Robin! Some good action in this episode and great team moments. I find it hard to believe that Dick Grayson can't take down several armored security guards, but of course it is an excellent intro to Jason Todd.
