Happy Birthday Anthony Daniels!

Happy Birthday Anthony Daniels! We of course know him as the protocol droid who is “fluent in over six million forms of communication”, C-3PO in Star Wars (1977)! His acting is the bridge to all of the trilogies! A year after Star Wars, he voiced Legolas in the Ralph Bakshi animated Lord of the Rings (1978)! He also appeared in the Star Wars: Holiday Special that year. I want to focus on how Anthony Daniels has kept the Star Warrior flame going starting with voicing See-Threepio in the radio dramas and wrote the Wonder Column for Star Wars Insider magazine. In 1985 he provided the voice of C-3PO in the Star Wars: Droids cartoon. Daniels voiced Threepio in the Disney attraction, greeting passengers about to board the Star Speeder, with Star Tours, in 1987.

He appeared as Francois in The Adventures of Young Indiana Jones: Attack of the Hawkmen (1995) tv movie. In 1997, he co-wrote the Star Wars: The Protocol Offensive comic book for Dark Horse Comics. Daniels of course appeared as himself sans golden droid outfit as Dannl Faytonni, in Attack of the Clones (2002). He also returned to voice C-3PO in Star Wars: Clone Wars for 2004 to 2011. Threepio had a feature role in the Star Wars: The Adventures Continues Disney attraction. Also, an episode of Star Wars: Rebels, “Droids in Distress” (2014) and an episode of Star Wars: Forces of Destiny, “Beasts of Echo Base” (2017). He has tweeted that he has wrapped shooting Episode IX on January 28th.   Lastly, I want to note Anthony Daniels’ hosting the various Star Wars: Celebrations. He is tireless in hosting duties and also makes it a point to greet Star Warriors in the early line before the opening of the Celebrations! Happy Birthday Anthony Daniels!
