Happy Birthday Chris Pine! One of Pine’s early roles was playing Nicholas Devereaux in The Princess Diaries 2: Royal Engagement (2004). He begun the role of playing Kirk in the reboot Star Trek (2009). He voiced the lead, Jack Forst, in Rise of the Guardians (2012), adaptating the William Joyce books. Pine returned as Kirk in Star Trek Into Darkness (2013). He starred in Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit (2014). Next, he was in the comedy, Horrible Bosses 2 (2014). Pine was Cinderella’s Prince in the musical adaptation of Into the Woods (2014). Then, Pine was Caleb, a new character, in the sci fi adpatation of the Richard O’Brien book, Z for Zachariah (2015). Eric was played by Pine in the comedy series, Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp (2015).
In the true life drama, The Finest Hours (2016), Pine played Bernie Webber, part of the Coast Guard involved in a daring rescue. Captain Kirk was again played by Pine in Star Trek Beyond (2016). In 2017, Pine had the iconic role of Steve Trevor in Wonder Woman. He was back as Eric in Wet Hot American Summer: Ten Years Later (2017). A Wrinkle in Time (2018) based on the Madeleine L’Engle novel starred Pine as Mr. Murray. Pine was Robert Bruce, Earl of Carrick in the historical drama, Outlaw King (2018). He voiced the Peter Parker Spider-Man in the animated film, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018). Pine investigated the case of Fauna Hodel in the drama mini-series, I Am the Night, with some episodes directed by Patty Jenkins. They collaborated again in Wonder Woman 1984 (2020).
