Re:cap - last episode, we had the defeat of Tobin Aegisford, and Vorta calling to the kinj held by Zed to return, is he next? At a village, we have the unconscious Talon confronted by a pitchfork held by a village woman. She offers to help Talon since she had taken care of Yavalla. Suddenly, she is struck by the green zinj and falls! Talon sees out of the window that other villagers are screaming, their green essence drawn in by Janya. She returns to the other Masters and powers them up. Vorta orders the village destroyed by Kultor who throws a fireball, Talon sees it through the window, she runs out and manages to find a black horse to ride. At The Outpost, Talon returns, she is met by Garret and Zed. She informs them of Tobin’s death. Later, they drink to him at the tavern. Janzo wonders about the ruler of the kingdom. Zed wants Tobin’s death kept a secret. Munt enters with a case of drinks. The others are sad over the death of their friend.

Garret lies that he is tracking the Masters. Janzo takes Talon to the prison to see 313. Talon asks what is the purpose of the Kahvi. She brings up the golden kinj duplicated by Yavalla and of course Vorta and Janzo shows them the golden tubes that would send the golden kinj to the Kahvi. Zed and Talon put their hands on the seven panels. They see a Master using his blue kinj to force a woman to try to stab her baby, but he is taken down by another Master, Aster (Gerald Miller), this is the Master in the coffin who helped the Kahvi escape the Plane of Ashes? This is a mystery they tell Janzo and Wren at the lab. Garret walks in as Talon is about to take off her belt. He tells her about what Zed said and Talon is confused. Garret brings up Wren and Janzo’s relationship. She walks outisde to get some “air.” Zed walks in to see Nedra out her human clothes. He gives her a wilderberry drink. Talon interrupts them to say she is to blame for not letting the Blackbloods return. Zed still wants Talon to lead them.
Night, Luna is trying to pry a piece off a symbol of the Seven, but hears screams! She takes it to Janzo and he sees gems for each of the Seven! He is figuring out the gems are the color of the zinjs, but the shape of the symbol is new. Munt is carrying linens for the king and Garret takes him aside and confesses that Tobin is killed. Munt is of course upset, cries over the death of his friend, and they hug. The Outpost defenses are being prepared. Nedra finds Zed on the battlements, she has brought him wilderberries, she wonder why he fights for the humans. Zed answers that taking on Yavalla has made him realize that it is all of their world. Wren has worked out the order of the zinj from the tomb of Vorta. The symbol has lights that pattern on Wren’s face. Janzo uses a mechanism to project the lights onto a map and knows where the other tombs are located! Munt pours drinks for Warlita to honor the deaths of the king and queen. He wants to avenge their deaths. Warlita wants him to stay alive. Wren and Janzo show Talon and the Janzo knows the location of a tomb at Verada. They could destroy the bodies of the other Masters.

Wrenzo (Wren/Janzo) work out that Aster could be an ally. Talon suggests that she can give her zinj willingly. She uses the panel again and sees Aster discovering her world. He tells the other Masters. An imprint of the panel is made on her hand. Talon resolves herself to destroying Aster. I’m not certain if Talon has the full story yet. Day in the Outpost, Luna sees Talon’s mark, she is needed as a Dragman to keep the Master asleep. Nedra finds Talon’s task distasteful as Zed hangs laundry. Janzo sends away a soldier to give 313 some bowls of food. He gives 313 a choice of the soup or the porridge that he had tried. Janzo tells him the name of the Masters thinking it’s a sequence. He says he misses the Kahvi and eyes the paper with the names of the Masters. 313 knocks out Janzo with a bench. Are the names like a mantra given by the Masters to ensure loyalty? Zed and Nedra are about to leave The Outpost, Munt joins them with his hammer, Warlita catches up with him. She takes a ribbon from her hair to tie around his arm and kisses his cheek. The hero shot of the trio of warriors is cool. Garret proposes to Talon and doesn’t get the best response! The secret of the skevikor key is revealed! The Outpost keeps the danger and mystery of the Masters going with this episode!
