Happy Birthday Melissa Benoist! She has had a great career in television with her first series playing Marley Rose on Glee from 2012 to 2014. Melissa played Nicole, the girlfriend of Miles Teller’s character, in Whiplash (2014) directed by Damien Chazelle. She had a cameo role in the drama Danny Collins (2015). Next, Melissa appeared in the Nicholas Sparks adaptation, The Longest Ride (2015). Melissa is known now for playing the lead, Kara Danvers, in Supergirl starting in 2015. Melissa played real life widow, Katherine Russel, in Patriot's Day (2016). Former Glee star, Grant Gustin, appeared as The Flash on “Worlds Finest” episode of Supergirl in March.
Then, starred in the Invasion! Episodes of The Flash and Legends of Tomorrow. In 2017, Melissa had another Glee reunion singing with Grant Gustin under the control of Darren Criss’ villain the Music Meister. Then, she crossed over as Supergirl in Crisis on Earth-X episodes of Arrow, The Flash, and Legends of Tomorrow. Melissa also played the villainous counterpart of Supergirl on Earth-X, Overgirl. She played Rachel Koresh in the real life mini-series Waco (2018). Melissa debuted on the Broadway stage playing the lead role in Beautiful: The Carol King Musical from June to August.
