Janzo and Garret try to convince Talon to rule. Garret says she has the support of the people. Wren takes an awful tasting drink and is interrupted by Talon. She has brought the ashes of her father and wants to know the proper Blackblood ceremonies. Wren says they need “a flowing river.” Talon goes to the gate and draws her sword. Luna is facing her again, they fight, but Talon is not drunk this time. Luna says that Talon killed Ilyin (Elizabeth Birkner), the girl who was the Dragman, accompanying the evil Everit Dred. Talon says a Blackblood named Rebb killed her sister. Luna can detect the truth like Ilyin. She says she owes a debt to Talon. Along a misty river, Wren sees the demonic Lu-Qiri walking into the forest. Talon pours out the ashes of her father to the wind over the river. They reflect on their parents. Wren says Talon is selfless like her father and Gwynn. A very dramatic moment that also gives insight for both characters. Falista wants to keep Tobin’s body and not taken away by ceremony. The twenty men are assembled by Falista who says they would give up their lives for Tobin. Two drains their lives and she sees Vorta who says it is her time. This episode of The Outpost has the conflict of Talon refusing the crown and restoring peace, some twists, and an ending that is a bit sinister!
