Last Day at L.A. Comic Con 2026!

The last day of L.A. Comic Con swept away the rain, there were a few guests who had left, but there was many fun opportunities to meet creators! One of the reasons that I went today, first of November, was that Tehani Farr posted on social media that she would be attending the con! I went over to the Stranger Comics booth and got a few comics and a print. Next, I wandered over to Artist’s Alley and found Marc Guggenheim. I was kinda stunned that he had his comics, novel, and scripts! I said that I asked if he would be going to the con at the Jar Jar Binks #1 signing at Golden Apple. One of the greatest television crossovers was Crisis on Infinite Earths based on the iconic 1985-1986 DC Comics limited series. This united and ran through five television series!

The heroes of Arrowverse were also joined by the multiverse’s heroes; Burt Ward returned as Dick Grayson, resident of Earth-66 and the classic Batman tv series and Alexander Knox (Robert Wuhl) was back in Earth-98’s Batman! Tyler Hoechlin and Elizabeth Tulloch were from Earth-38 and also the Superman and Lois series! Brandon Routh played Atom, but returned to playing Superman of Earth-96!, this was thirteen years after Superman Returns (2006). Smallville’s Tom Welling appeared along with Lois Lane played by Erica Durance (she was playing Kara’s mother, Alura-Zor-El in Supergirl) from Earth-167. One of the greatest episodes was the Batwoman episode which had Kevin Conroy, voice actor from Batman: The Animated Series, take the part of the live action Batman of Earth-99!

Matt Ryan reprised his part as John Constantine from the NBC Constantine show. Lastly, Ezra Miller from Justice League (2017) had a cameo as The Flash! It was a love letter to fans, whatever show or movies you liked is real, it exists, and the adventures still continue, they never ended with just one movie or show! An incredible feat to string everything together with a massive cast and coherent story thanks to Marc Guggenheim! This something that can’t be matched by the current DC films or television series. Also at his table was the novel, In Any Lifetime (2024), which was about a quantum physicist who loses his wife and unborn child to a car accident. He searches other realities to find his wife, but the multiverse fights against him!

I thought this was a love story like What Dreams May Come (1998) and the multiverse getting in the way of finding a duplicate rather than as a plot device is brilliant! I also saw Ethan Sacks who wrote the Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge comic, the latest is Star Wars Galaxy’s Edge: Echoes of the Empire, and also Predator: Badlands #1. He said that he had many video conferences with the director, Dan Trachtenberg who also wrote the forward of the comic. I returned to the cosplay section and saw Dare Taylor. She was dressed as Jessica Rabbit. There was several comic books available with Dare cosplaying as the characters including Vampirella #1 (2025), Vampirella: Helliday Special #1 (2024), and Red Sonja #2 (2026).

I also saw again Joanie Brosas, today cosplaying as Chun Li, she loved the Street Fighter movie. She also had material on Necro Radio, a horror anthology podcast written by Cole Johnson, hosted by DJ Drybones! In Kentia Hall’s Artist’s Alley, I met Ray-Anthony Height and his new comic, Midnight Tiger: Origins. He provided art and co-wrote the comic with DeWayne Feenstra. We talked about the Compton Comic Expo which I hope to catch next year! Check out: https://www.comptoncomicsexpo.com. Then, I saw David Avallone who wrote the limited series, Altered State: Warlords.

I also saw at her table, JP Roth, she had her comic tradepaperback, Divinica Volume 1 and also the hardback book, The Art of Divinca Volume 1. You can check out her work, beautiful artwork and story, about women in mythology at Rothic Comics, https://rothic.com/home.html. I returned to the Stranger Comics booth to meet Tehani Farr. She was very kind and signed the work of fans that lined around the booth. I always set aside a con day for comics and this day had Marc Guggenheim, Ray-AnthonyHeight, and Tehani Farr, cosplayers, Dare Taylor and Joanie Brosas, a great way to end this year’s L.A. Comic Con!
