Happy Birthday Rosario Dawson! Her first film was the drama, Kids (1995). She followed up with the Spike Lee film, He Got Game (1998). She entered in comic book based fare with Josie and the Pussycats (2001) playing Valerie Brown. Then, Dawson played Laura Vasquez, a waitress caught up in the adventures of Agents J and K in the sci fi comedy, Men in Black II (2002). She played and sung as Mimi Marquez in the film musical, Rent (2005), Dawson won the Satellite Award for Best Supporting Actress - Motion Picture. Then, Sin City (2005) playing Gail, one of the Girls of Old Town. Dawson played manager of the restaurant, Mooby’s, in Clerks II (2006). She was in the Death Proof segment of Grindhouse (2007). In 2009, Dawson voiced Artemis in the animated Wonder Woman (2009) movie. Dawson was in Percy Jackson & the Olympians: The Lightning Thief (2010) as Persephone.
She played Elizabeth in the Danny Boyle crime film, Trance (2013). A brilliant part, Dolores Huerta, co-founder of the National Farmworkers Association, in the bio drama, Cesar Chavez (2014). Sin City: A Dame to Kill For (2014) had the return of Dawson as Gail. She voiced Nyx in Tinker Bell and the Legend of the NeverBeast (2014). Dawson voiced Wonder Woman in Justice League: Throne of Atlantis (2015). She appeared as Claire Temple Daredevil (2015-2016) The character was a nurse helping superheroes that came from the comic book, Night Nurse. Then, Claire helped out Jessica Jones in a 2015 episode and then moved to Harlem in Luke Cage (2016-2018). She returned as Wonder Woman in Justice League vs. Teen Titans (2016). Batgirl was voiced by Dawson in The Lego Batman Movie (2017). Wonder Woman was again voiced by Dawson in Justice League Dark (2017).
Dawson also returned as Claire Temple in Iron Fist (2017) and also The Defenders (2017) in the mini-series. She starred as Nevada in the horror comedy Zombieland: Double Tap (2019). The Death of Superman (2018) animated movie featured Dawson as Wonder Woman and also Reign of the Supermen (2019). In 2020, Dawson played Ahsoka Tano was in live action form with The Mandalorian episode, “Chapter 13: The Jedi.” She voiced Catwoman in Batman: The Audio Adventures (2021). Dawson returned as Ahsoka in “Chapter 6: From the Desert Comes a Stranger” (2022) episode of the The Book of Boba Fett. She also stars as Alma Ortego in the sci fi post apocalypse DMZ (2022) based on the comic book written by Brian Wood. Upcoming, she has the Ahsoka series which was just completed.
