Happy Birthday Jessica Henwick! She started in television with the BBC children’s action series, Spirit Warriors (2010), as Bo on a school trip to a museum, they are taken to the Spirt World and given powers to save the world from a warlord! Henwick starred with Benedict Wong in the series. Then, she played Amy Lang in the legal drama, Silk (2014). One of her first films was the crime drama Dragonfly (2015). Jess Testor was a short, but important part for Henwick, finally!, as a female X-Wing pilot in Star Wars: The Force Awakens (2015). She may be joined by other pilots in Patty Jenkins’ Rogue Squadron to be released on December 2023. Maybe Jess Testor will be one of the pilots or an advisor.
Another brilliant part by Henwick was playing Nymeria Sand in Game of Thrones (2015-2017). Henwick starred as Colleen Wing in Iron Fist (2017-2018), in The Defenders (2017) mini-series, and “The Wig Out” (2018) episode of Luke Cage. She wrote and starred in the short, Baliko (2019) as Mara. Henwick played Emily Haversham, in the sci fi horror movie, Underwater (2020). She faced more monsters as Aimee in Love and Monsters (2020). Another voice part had Henwick playing Alexia in the Netflix animated series Blood of Zeus. Upcoming, Henwick has The Matrix Resurrections (2021) and voices Elle in the Blade Runner: Black Lotus animated series. She has upcomign the short film which she acted and directed Bus Girl.
