Today was the first Hollywood Show of 2026 and it was packed with fans and incredible talent! There were a number of reunions that had panels. Yesterday there was a panel for the New Zoo Revue, a classic 70’s children show with Doug Momary (Doug) and Emily Peden (Emmy Jo). I did see today Freddie the Frog. Then, a Hunter reunion with Fred Dryer (Sergant Rick Hunter) and Stepfanie Kramer (Sergeant Dee Dee McCall) in this crime series. The biggest queue was for Julie Newmar which is her only appearance for 2026! Also, special for the show was an appearance by Dame Joan Collins. Inside the show room was a long table for the actors of E.T. The Extra-Terrestrial. This included Matthew DeMeritt who played E.T.!, Robert McNaughton (Michael, the older brother), and Henry Thomas (who of course played Elliott).
C. Thomas Howell (Tyler, Michael’s friend who was in the bicyle chase), Erika Eleniak (the classmate Elliot kisses),and Dee Wallace (Mary, Elliot’s mother). It was impressive to see many of the cast there! To the side was James Remar, known for Ajax in The Warriors (1979). I liked that he played Charles Cothope in Megalopolis (2024). Another overflow line was for Billy Zane, who was Cal Hockley in Titantic (1997), there were other actors from the film. Danny Nucci (Frabrizio, Jack’s friend), Frances Fisher (Ruth DeWitt, Rose’s mother), and Jeanette Goldstein (Irish Mommy). Goldstein was also with actors from her Aliens (1986) cast. This was Rico Ross (Private Frost) and Mark Rolston (Private Drake). On the other side was the table for Adrienne Barbeau who had a long line that almost went down the aisle. She is known for playing Stevie Wayne in The Fog (1980) and Maggie in the sci fi action film, Escape from New York (1981).
I liked that she was in the early comic book horror movie, Swamp Thing (1982) and then voiced Catwoman in Batman: The Animated Series. On the other side were some of the cast from Back to the Future (1985). Harry Waters Jr. (he played Marvin Berry and cosplayed in his blue suit!). Waters Jr. said in the panel that he spoke to director Robert Zemeckis about theater for 20 minutes in his audition! Donald Fullilove (Goldie Wilson). Fullilove said in the panel that he had the shot reacting to the manure because he was the fastest runner! There was also Charlie Croughwell who was the stunt double for Michael J. Fox on all of the films. He talked about the stunt where he held the car, turned and walked over Biff’s car (careful not to step on the actors), and ended up on the skateboard, in one or two takes! Claudia Wells (Jennifer), Wells mentioned in the panel about her chemistry with Fox. Michael Klastorin, who is the author of Back to the Future Ultimate Visual History.
The latest update, 35 new pages, is on pre-order at amazon.com, but he had copies there. He had copies of the comic book from the movie, Tales from Space. Wells had the “Save the Clock Tower” flyer which she of course wrote a message to you on the back! There was Katy Cable told the panel audience that she had always played younger parts. Johnny Green was also at the show, he said he idolized Michael J. Fox in Family Ties, Green played Scooter Kid #1. Down an aisle, I saw James Marshall whom I mentioned seeing again as James Hurley in Twin Peaks, and I mentioned a film that I see over and over, A Few Good Men (1992). He pointed out that he was Private First Class Louden Downey in it! Catherine Bell was also at the show, she of course starred as Lt. Col. Sarah MacKenzie in the drama, JAG. Debbie Gibson was at the show fresh from her appearance on Jimmy Kimmel Live! This show had many chances to see the people who made our favorite films and television!
